Platform

1) "Dragonfly"
Darlene Nguyen-ely

A large winged sculpture made of brushed aluminum will hang from poles at the entrance to the station. The imagery refers to flight, wind, architecture and experiences from the artist's own immigrant experience.

2) "Measures"
Eugene Parnell

Eugene Parnell ten 8-foot-tall free-standing "measuring sticks" will be grouped along the platform. Each measuring stick is a bronze relief illustrating the concept of height and height measurement in various forms from different countries, and over different historic eras.

3) Mauricio Robalino

A colorful glass collage will be incorporated onto an eight-foot by eight-foot window in a building on the south end of the passenger platform. The artwork will be back lit at night. The artist will also create a series of glass tile mosaic "windows" for the screen wall of the systems building immediately across the street from the south end of Henderson Station.

Plaza

"Parable"
Buster Simpson

Within the orchard-like landscaping of the plaza will sit a sculpture consisting of six large paired cast forms placed in a 10-foot-wide bowl. The sculptural shapes are based on a pear and wrecking ball morphed into one. The installation is internally lit to illuminate the interior of the halved pears and references the site'ss earlier farm land and the dynamic urban changes underway.
