Walk Quiet Streets to Neighborhood Parks & Playgrounds
Rainier Vista is designed to encourage a sense of community. Throughout the neighborhood small and large parks and landmarks serve as community gathering places, where neighbors can meet and relax. Larger parks and ball fields encourage group activities. Playgrounds with modern play structures are ideal places for children to engage in active play while their adults socialize and cheer them on. In two P-Patches in Rainier Vista, you can get some dirt under your fingernails and enjoy homegrown veggies, fruits, flowers and herbs. The new urban garden offers gardening areas as well as celebration spaces for birthdays and other events.
At Rainier Vista, you are surrounded by some of Seattle’s best parks and recreation opportunities. To the east is Lake Washington with miles of walkable shoreline, places to swim, active centers for recreational and competitive rowing and sailing, and beautiful Seward Park. To the west are Jefferson Golf Course, Beacon Hill as well as connections to the new Chief Sealth Trail, an off-road, park route along City Light’s right of way, which is great for bicycling or skating as well as walking and jogging.
